My name is Kamalani Keakuakamali’i Katsumi Hanamaika’i. I am Hawaiian, Japanese, and Navajo. I was born in Provo, Utah and I am number 6 in a blended family with ten kids and have 36 nieces and nephews. I have been blessed with my own family with my own family with my amazing wife Cheree and our son Brandon who is 17 years old.

As a 19-year-old young man, I completed a Latter-Day Saint or “Mormon” mission in Uruguay and am fluent in the Spanish language. I completed my undergraduate degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology at Brigham Young University and progressed through medical school at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona where I currently teach Anatomy and Medical Imaging. My post-medical school training was all completed at The University of Arizona with internship in Internal Medicine, residency in Diagnostic Radiology, and fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. I have a passion for my craft and am enthusiastic about the Interventional Oncology portion of our practice, am working toward adding other techniques such as diagnostic and therapeutic lymphangiogram therapies, SpyGlass/Fluoroscopic diagnostic and interventional procedures, and am implementing WaveLinq AV fistula creation. I am both proud and humbled to practice as a Radiologist and believe our field is a crucial foundation of medical care today.

Abstract Paint

Radiology is a foundational and absolutely essential specialty in medicine with comprehensive applications leading to more accurate diagnoses and thus refined treatment plans. Furthermore, as an Interventional Radiologist we utilize imaging modalities to maximize therapeutic outcomes with a minimally invasive footprint.
