Carina Yang, MD is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Vice Chair of Diversity & Inclusion for the department. She also serves as the Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology and the Neuroradiology Fellowship Director at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM).  Dr. Yang completed her medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2003, and stayed local to complete her Radiology Residency as well as Neuroradiology Fellowship at Northwestern University.  She has worked in academics at Children’s Memorial Hospital here in Chicago, in a small private practice in the suburbs, as well as has experience in teleradiology and part-time general radiology.  Aside from clinical responsibilities, Dr. Yang has pioneered the radiology simulation program here at UCM, and conducts multiple training sessions each year in running contrast reaction codes.  In 2016, she led the organization of the inaugural Radiology Expo. She maintains a vested interest in trainee education, and is always seeking novel teaching techniques to enhance her effectiveness.  She has also completed multiple international visiting professorships.  Her interests outside of work include travel (even with two young kids!) and scuba diving.
