Why is Radiology important?

Radiology is at heart of medicine.

Biography

  1. Dr. Senta Berggruen is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Medical Education at Northwestern University, where she has been a faculty member as an abdominal imager in Diagnostic Radiology since 2006. Her interests include abdominal oncologic and transplant imaging as well as emergency radiology.
  2. In addition to involvement and leadership on departmental and Feinberg medical school committees, Dr. Berggruen served as Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and as an Associate Program Director for the Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program at Northwestern for 6.5 years. In that period, Dr. Berggruen founded the Women in Radiology Group at Northwestern and developed five different Interest Tracks to further residents’ professional development.
  3. Dr. Berggruen completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Arizona and her MR predominant Body Imaging fellowship at Northwestern University.
